READER'S CIRCLE
November 29th, 6:30 PM

More than 30 years ago, Matthew McConaughey vowed he’d someday become an author; in “Greenlights” he keeps that promise and lets us share in the homespun wisdom that he has wrung from his toils, travels, … and that time he got arrested playing bongos in the nude!

McConaughey spins these hilarious personal yarns because he believes they reveal certain universal and teachable truths: no one can escape hardship, but we can try to navigate the hard stuff and ‘get relative with the inevitable’ sooner and in the best way possible.  Of course, McConaughey doesn’t see this as a self-help book.  Fans of his film work will also enjoy the back stories from some of his best-known roles.  The idiosyncratic result of all this is both self-serious and uproariously uninhibited.

Come laugh, learn, and discuss it all on Tuesday, November 29, at 6:30 pm.

(If you enjoy audio books, this is a particular treat.  Matthew McConaughey reads his work himself!)
