READER'S CIRCLE
March 16th, 7 PM

Please join us at 7:00 pm, on Thursday March 16th, to discuss This Is Happiness by Niall Williams.

You'll be well prepared for St. Patrick's Day and Joann will treat you to a slice of her very famous Irish Soda Bread!

She is so excited about this book. It's a story set in rural Ireland facing modernization with 'the electricity'. It is funny and touching and great storytelling told with beautiful writing. Joann loved listening to this book on audio, but it is a beautiful reading experience too.  The narrator's voice as the old man recounting his youth in Faha, County Clare with his grandmother, Dotie, and grandfather Ganga is wise but not so far removed from the memories of his youth that he doesn't understand their importance in the man and person he became. He brings you to that place and you love living there, even without 'the electricity'.

Come discuss it all on Thursday, March 16th at 7:00 PM.
