What is this?
From renowned filmmaker Jon Siskel comes a powerful documentary that delves into the heart of a community's grief and resilience, captured through the creation of a poignant memorial. On July 4th, 2022, Highland Park, Illinois, was forever changed by a devastating mass shooting. Witness a story of unity and compassion that not only honors a town's healing but also serves a national wake-up call. More than a tribute, this film is a profound reminder of the ongoing impact of such tragedies across America.
Members of the Lincoln Trio will perform versions of Stacy Garrop’s Repair the World. This work was commissioned as a response to the tragic events of July 4, 2022 in Highland Park. In naming the work Repair the World, Stacy calls upon the Jewish concept of tikkun olam that we need to fix what is broken.
