The Woman’s Club of Wilmette Foundation is a fundraising and grant making organization dedicated to women, families, and the local north suburban Chicago communities in which they live.
We support projects that strengthen families and communities, thereby helping to make our corner of the world a better, safer and happier place. Over the past 10 years, the Club has donated almost $400,000 in cash gifts and grants, in collected goods, and in clubhouse space provided for events.
The Foundation was created in the fall of 2015 in response to the devastating February fire that heavily damaged the clubhouse. Although the Club has been raising funds and giving gifts to local nonprofit and municipal organizations throughout its 125+ year history, it was necessary to increase fundraising efforts to restore the historic clubhouse.
The clubhouse has been of great value to the community providing space for countless events, such as the Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of Wilmette, the Go Green Environmental Fair, the Park District Daddy Daughter Dance, and many private parties and events.
The Foundation is now planning for a capital campaign and will soon announce the many opportunities to give that will be available. Those opportunities include memorial and honorarium naming rights, at both affordable and higher-end price points. The Foundation has received 501(c)3) status, allowing all gifts to be tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
We look forward to including Wilmette and surrounding communities in our Restore. Rebuild. Renew. challenge!
